Pretty standard seeing a CAT come out ahead, but those 855 Cummins are legendary in their own right. I was excited to see CAT releasing that new series of vocational truck until I found out they'll be using NAVISTAR engines painted in CAT yellow (no thanks)

I think I've seen this rig maybe on one of the facebook first gen groups. Still the cleanest looking first gen I've ever seen that isn't showroom-new. Real nice truck you have there.

at least he had the common sense to get a regular cab long bed, AND a standard tranny. Just about every truck on the road now is a crew cab with a short bed. I can't think of a more worthless setup.

Congratulations Ford, you've finally sold me over another Dodge when the time comes for a new rig. One of the angriest sounding diesels to come out in years.

@2strokedetroit this one would have come with an intercooler standard. Dodge/Cummins started offering them in the middle of the 1991 model year.

Jesus, mine cranks up without even cycling the grid heaters down to about 25 degrees. Below that and I'll cycle the grid heaters once and she fires right up. Very rarely do I need to plug mine in. Something's gotta be wrong with that truck, a mechanical 12 valve should start quickly in the cold.

To think that the GVWR was only 11,000 or something out of the factory but here's one towing 29k. I'd be nervous towing that much with mine on a public road especially with a slushbox, but on a farm or ranch there really isn't a better work truck than a first gen.I honestly think I could reliably...

This is an epic video. Mercedez-Benz never ceases to amaze and their diesel-engines are second to none. Awesome pieces of engineering.

None of them are sold out. Toyota only allowed them to be leased for X amount of time, so all 500 have been leased out. They'll probably hit the market for actual sales once the leases expire.

The majority of my favorite cars all within 10 minutes. All that's needed is a Miura SV and this would be the perfect video. Well done.

I'd take the 4 turbos off this thing to help improve that exhaust note, or lack thereof. 253 mph isn't necessary, anyway.
