I really enjoyed Colin Jeavons' performance as Lestrade in this episode. He has such a good combination of confidence, with a little bit of swagger, coupled with a genuine decency and a true respect for Holmes. I think he's easily the best Lestrade in any of these episodes.

@NotDinsdale I am really enjoying John Castle in this episode as well. I wish he could have been in all of them - he and Joan Hickson make a good team!

@cygnusy Yes, I noticed that too! He played Luke from the Foreign Office in the episode "A Victory for Democracy", from the first season of "Yes, Prime Minister".
