I am married, 47 years old with 2 kids and 2 step kids. 3 live at home, 1 is in the Air Force. I had gastric bypass on December 1st, 2008 !!
11-20-08 started liquid diet
12-1-08 surgery date
12-11-08 1st post-op visit - 25 lbs
1-22-09 7 weeks out - 47 lbs total
1-26-09 8 weeks out - 50 lbs total
5-11-09 5 months out - 85 lbs total
10-1-09 10 months out - 113 lbs total !!!!
7-7-10 Total lost is 130. Would like to lose more but I've learned how to snack...... I've got to quit that !!! Haven't gained any back but the weight loss has definitely stopped.
I have been going to school since fall '09. That was a big step for me. My kids are doing great. My step-daughter is expecting in December. Woo hoo. My husband was diagnosed with colon cancer in November and has been getting chemo treaments ever since. His last treatment is next week which we are looking forward to.
