To me the highs seemed just a tad more defined in the el34 tubes.

That's not to say the 6L6's had bad highs just not as defined.

Conversely the lows on the 6L6 tubes sounded better to me. YMMV.

Definitely a more pronounced low mids in the Texas Heat. I have one and

love it for blues and hard rock. The cleans are acceptable if your amp has a bright switch.

It's certainly not a speaker for jazz or where pristine cleans are necessary.

Eh they tried. Not bad but all the synth parts are not there. What the hell is the ad for Pepsi doing in this. Grrrrr.

Poor editing skills at least 3 songs get cut off and the lyrics are late on the screen in 4 separate occasions. Other than that great job with the lyrics and the audio quality is excellent.

Not having listened to this part in years I had not realized they rehashed parts of "One of these days" into this part of the song.

Could have been done without the extra distortion. Not present in the original.

Having heard this and many other versions of Echoes, including the orginal on my Meddle album set of digital remasters, it's my opinion that the version of Echoes from David Gilmours Remember that Night DVD blows all other versions away.

Pages layering of guitars on this song is just superb.

David used three amps one for the delayed sound set to a lower volume and one for his wet signal to the main amp plus a Leslie. The delay you have in this video is not done that well but it's a start. Sound on sound did not really get used extensively until Division Bell. Especially on Marooned.

Would it hurt to sync the video to the audio?

The funny part about this performance is that it was spur of the moment and was not even on the set list. Luckily the drummer had studied all Pink Floyd tunes in case David wanted to play them. The bass player already knew the song from playing with David for years.

This guy is such a sleaze. Everyone must be issued an application if they request one. IT'S THE LAW.

As a beginner at the 6 string guitar I found this to be one of the better celebrity music instrument lessons I have seen recently.

I kind of figured she go ape on this. After all a lobster looks like a large bug and she is deathly afraid of bugs.

Nope sorry it is a Digitech whammy pedal. Same pedal used for the song 'The Blue' from the 'On an Island' record and you can see it in use on the DVD 'Remember that Night'.

I love how Gilmour has managed the last few re-imaginings of a few older Floyd tunes. This one and Echoes from his Remember that Night DVD. I have found that in my opinion they are better than the originals while still retaining most of the flavor of those originals.

Gilmour is a highly accomplished musician he can play drums fairly well. It is not a drum machine on this track. He also played bass on many of the studio tracks of Floyd songs. Quite a nice version of a classic.
