This is merely a case of contracted tendons, a common occurance in foals and calves. I've seen quite a number down through the years. This one is fairly bad, but her life was never in any way threatened by the condition, which is caused by her lying awkwardly in the womb. Splinting works, but more often than not just time, care and attention will do the trick. We had a foal whose back was so twisted he couldn't stand. A month later he was as straight as anything. It took a lot of effort lifting him so he could suckle, and gently exercising his (very bent!) legs and helping him to stand for increasing periods, andthen there was no holding him back! Sadly if wee ones like ths are born in a situation where the mare is a working animal in a poor household that doesn't have the time to devote to a youngster with this condition, more often than not they are put down, which, although sad, is the best decision. But it's nice to see she straightened up nicely.

why have you named it Amina? please change the name. This was the name of our Beloved Prophet peace be upon him's beloved Mother. This name is sacred to us and naming an animal Amina is outragiouse
