Laughed out loud at that. Great moment, as they could have played the entire last half of the movie for laughs, but they resisted the urge, and just threw that one little moment in there. Fantastic.

It's corny, and broad and at times obvious, but it's also a gentle satire on how "big city folks" see their country brethren.

Well-acted, well-written, and within it's limitations (nothing cruel, no profanity, etc) it's an excellent show.

No matter how SRV plays, no matter how many notes he's squeezing in, he seems to be working at half speeed. As if he's just having fun, sitting in the rocking chair, that if he actually got serious about the whole thing, he'd just blow your GD head off.

What I love about this song, along with the genius lyrics, isthe quality of the parody. The background vocals are perfect. You can almost see the pair of bouffant-laden country gals in sequined skirts up there behind Hank going "awoo" for all they're worth.
