I grew up in Germany as an Army Brat . I left Germany at age 19 and came back to the USA after 13 years over there. I started playing drums in high school and have been playing for 21years now. I just got my first DW Collectors Series drum kit that I've been wanting for over 20 years now when I saw my first DW kit at a live concert in German. It's an all maple kit in blue with mother of pearl swirled throughout. It's got 10&12 rack toms, a 14 floor tom and a 22x18 kick. It's sounds super with the sustain of an opera singer. It's hard to describe to sound but you know it. It's that sort of fat but clear and super sustained with no ring or rattle..just a perfect drum sound. If you've never turned the lugs on a DW...it's indescribable. It's precision crafted down to the threads on the lug bolts that when you turn it...you feel every single thread screwing in. Just ask for a key at your next stop off at the local shop where they sell DW's. Anyway...

I also have my first love and first "real kit" that I had custom made for be by another drummer buddy of mine. It's called a "Choice Custom" from Austin Texas and made for me by Mike Longoria. It's a 6 piece of 8,10,12,14 and 18x18 kick with a "C&C Custom" snare drum which is made by Bill Cardwell of C&C Custom Drums in Gladstone, MO. It's a circa 1993 maple drum that is irreplaceable. I haven't found another Snare drum that is more dynamic and universal for all styles. I can get about 6 different snares from one drum. It's worth every cent I robbed Bill of when I bought it from him new in 1993. I also have a Roland V-Drum Professional that I scored from the Miami Sound Machine which is great for playing at night at home or whenever I can't be as loud as an acoustic kit is. I've been working on integrating that with my DW kit as I like lots of accent drums and latin percussion sounds that I can't get without dropping a mint on stands and the real deal. That kit gives me millions of sounds I can tweak and tune into anything I like and assign it to a pad or rim of a pad. I love Porno's for Pyros' and Steven Perkins of Jane's Addiction was my most influential drummer in my life and so I really need all of that stuff to be able to pull of the Porno's tracks live. live in Tampa, Florida now and I'm ALWAYS looking for people to play with...free...for fun...or if someone has gigs...great. I can learn nearly any song in short notice and can play most styles. I'm not a Country and Western dude but I could pull it off if ya know what i'm sayin. Same for swingin' 6 jazz...or straight jazz. It's not my style but I can mimic it. It's uncomfortable like 7 time. I'm a groove player...so funk is my forte.
