I didn't mean per year budget, I meant total over the years....trillions. And yes useful things came 'out of' the space program. But those things would have been made anyway (if they have use) and with a much smaller price tag, if there were made by people in the economy who had the expertise. Have you heard of the private rocket companies that send up rockets at a fraction of the cost of NASA? Or companies that make useful stuff, like water recyclers, satellites, without the price tag or the theft from american people in the form of taxes?
