I love trains and enjoy railfanning Norfolk Southern lines. My favorite steam locomotive is Southern Railway 4501 built in 1911 for the Southern. In the 70's, my Great Grandaddy, Earl C. Bruce, ran as the fireman next to Bill Purdie in the cab on several trips. He began working for Southern Railway in the 30's and retired in 1978.
