Since 1972, Robin knew she had a true love for music. Born and raised in Manassas, Virginia (30 miles from Washington D.C.) She was the middle child of seven siblings. She often used music to comfort herself through the rough times of her youth. At the tender age of 4 she realized her passion for singing. Her father (William Oscar Ewell), a hard working Welder, exposed Robin to soulful greats such as The O Jays, Gladys Knight & the Pips, James Brown, Tina Turner, and Aretha Franklin. And Robins mother (Adeline Tibbs, Ewell), a dedicated Housekeeper and a phenomenal singer in her own right, introduced Robin to Gospel greats such as Mahalia Jackson, Shirley Caesar, Tramaine Hawkins, and James Cleveland.

At the age of 5, Robin started to attend a Pentecostal church in the city of Manassas. That church gave Robin the legs she needed to realize her dream as a singer by giving her courage and a microphone. Robin sang the Gospel induced songs her mother would play and sing around the house. Going up Yonder by Tramaine Hawkins and Soon and very soon by Andre Crouch were Robins first solos. And there laid the foundation to one of Robins deepest passion.

In Elementary school Robin tried out for school plays and musicals that traveled to different schools in the area to perform. The Baptist church her mother attended in Centreville, Virginia, would take Robin on church trips to different states to perform with the choir during that time. In middle school she continued her love for music by enrolling in the school choir and participating in the school talent shows, that further cultivated and showcased her talent. In High school, Robin continued her efforts for musical insight by joining the choirs and taking classes in music theory. After she graduated, Robin would enter local singing competitions, winning trips, cash, studio time, and prizes. Robin joined a couple of R&B and Progressive Jazz Bands where she further carried out her dream to become a well-known singer.

Robin always had a desire to write her own music. Humming tunes and making lyrics as early as 7 years old. In high school she started writing her lyrics on paper. And had tunes for all her songs in her head.
A couple of years after high school she took it several steps forward, and started to compose the melodies she kept in her head. Revising the lyrics she wrote as an adolescent, and making them better.

By 1994, Robin started buying her own music equipment. Robins goal was to have her own home studio, which she succeeded. Robin recorded 4 songs, but never released them to the public as a result of life situations. Although she was going through hard times, she continued to write and compose music.

By 2008, Robin was finally ready to start her journey to put out her own original music for the world to hear. And today, Robins dreams are about to give birth to her debut Album Entitled "4 Closure" which will be released later this year (2010). Her debut Single "Deleted" is available now through itunes.

Currently, Robin continue to be an active vocalist in several choirs at her church, as well as contribute her vocals to local charitable events, non- profit organizations, and fund raisers. Occasionally, she will sit-in with well-known local bands such as, Jareed, The Sharon Thomas Experience, Common Ground, The Vince Chapman Project.

While R&B & Soul music are Robins roots, Gospel music is the foundation. Infusing and cultivating her sound as a singer today in any genre of music she sings.
