On 4 February 2011 I wrote the following update:

"I have received word that my father died in his sleep today. He was the one that always helped everyone around him make sense of things in times of loss and crisis. I never imagined a world without him in it, and he's not here to help me figure out what to do in his absence. I want 12 hours back, so I can tell him I love him, and hear him tell me that he knows that I do."

Now it's September and almost nothing has changed about how I feel. I'm still just watching myself go through the motions of living. On 8 September 2011 I saw King Creosote and Jon Hopkins --they were wonderful in spite of a few technical difficulties. I had a video posted of 'Favourite Girl' primarily so that my Mom could see it. She liked it. It was the sort of song that Papa would have liked too. I've now taken that video to private because there is another posted currently with (overall) of better video and audio quality. I also have written previously that "--everything is out of the Manchester apartment and strewn all over the new place here in Leicester--" and that is also still true. It is beginning to feel like some sort of a home though. I'm grateful for that. I'm also grateful for all the Internet broadcasts this past summer of concerts from various festivals featuring Coldplay, The National, Arctic Monkeys and many other favourite artists. Maybe next summer I'll get to go to more events in person. For now, there's a chill in the air and I'm just trying to settle in for the start of term.

Update for 2 January, 2011: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

That's the nice part. Here's the rest: I publicly protest/detest the fact that ONE STRIKE against an account means that you can't ever post privately with friends and family!!! That's unreasonable, imho. I have ONE strike from over a year ago, and --it's just very frustrating! Okay. I feel better now. I suppose all that it really means that I will have to occasionally visit my terrible singing voice and lefty-opinions upon THE world, rather than just 'my world'. :)


Update 1 December 2010: Currently living and going to school in Manchester UK; it snowed here today. :)

Update: May 12, 2009: I've removed the Dylan tributes due to a complaint filed by Sony. This is interesting, since I had permission for almost two years to post those videos from the companies that own Dylan's recordings. Sad, too, because those tributes were very welcome among Dylan fans. Well. That's that. Additionally, I've taken down everything else that I think will get my account into trouble.

The policies of Sony have served the purpose of focussing my attention. I don't have much time to produce video tributes at the moment, but when I do, I'll make them for Coldplay, Coldplay band member related projects such as Apparatjik, indie bands, friends, family, and other independent artists, primarily due to the fact that I trust them not to arbitrarily destroy my work.
