Student and teacher and fan of the classical guitar. I put student first because I believe you are always learning.I specialise in teaching the young and advocate the importance ensemble music.A proud member of the Musicians' Union; I run an educational website for classical guitarists called www.hopscotchguitar.com The name is to reflect our Scottish heritage and emphasise the fun of childs' play.
I am privilaged to be appointed music selector for the Inverness Music Festival and recently employed to teach traditional music classes at Charleston Academy in Inverness. I am a Music Medals assessor for the Associate Board and am preparing pupils for that. Many of my other pupils are preparing for Highers and Standard grades which is why many pieces on this site reflect that syllabus.

We recently encountered manatees on a holiday to Florida and I was lucky to get up close and personal with two. It is a pity that something so harmless, passive, playful and curious is struggling to survive in this world. A metaphor for life perhaps?

Unfortunately got up close and personal with too many rollercoasters; (not my idea).Photos not flattering but proudly displayed!
