About this user
you have a couple idiots out there who like to rant and rave like a spoiled child who just found out that Santa and the Easter bunny dont exist, regardless of the overwhelming evidence proving that they dont. This Channel is for those morons out there who can not, or more it , will not accept the truth.
I have a few morons who say That Jerry West, said that Kobe is the best he's ever seen.
Here is the link to that video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4KUntexwuM
However in the interview he only mentions players that were lakers. If West was talking in context of GOAT in NBA history, why didnt he mention Oscar, or Bird or even Jordan. More specifically Jordan, since many experts, analysts, and players agree that Jordan is the Greatest player of all time. Yet nay-sayers will say the proof is in the video.
So after i Googled the words "Jerry West Kobe best ever" i received links to these media outlets.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie/post/Is-Kobe-Bryant-the-best-Laker-ever-Jerry-West-t?urn=nba-245447
Yahoo sports reports it as West calling Kobe the Greatest Laker of all time.
here is another source from that same interview.
http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/06/02/jerry-west-on-kobe-bryant-hes-the-greatest-laker/
NBC sports is reporting it as West calling Kobe greatest Laker Ever.
and finally from Foxsports, who originally ran the interview
http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/Jerry-West-calls-Kobe-Bryant-greatest-Los-Angeles-Laker-
All of these major media outlets are reporting it as the samething, and if you listen to the interview you can tell it is in context of franchise history not All time NBA history.
"by far and away Michael Jordan was the best player....Jordan was the best ever" Rober Horry 2009
" with Michael Jordan, you couldnt take your eyes off of him when he played the game, it was just a phenomenon to watch someone with that kinds of ability..be able to do what he did on the court.
We've had a lot of players with talent, athletic talent, but they havent been able to do the things that he was able to do. He was perhaps the one most significant person
in professional basketball in the world" Phil Jackson 2009
"he had to put up spectacular numbers, but also in his own mind
recognized that the fans came to see him do something
spectacular...every single game....to me he is the greatest player to
ever play" Doug Collins
"you'd root for the guy to have a big game, maybe a 30 or 40 point game
and you'd sit there and root for him.But to see this guy do it every
night and that's what stood out the most of any player i've ever seen"
Phil Jackson
"He was a guy who stepped up to another level to help his team win"
Lenny Wilkins
"Every big game every big moment, no matter if he has the flue or
anything he's going to deliver" Dwight Howard
"In my opinion the best basketball player ever, but probably more
importantly the best competitor ever" PJ Carlesimo
"We all say 'this is the guy, he is the best' and we say it with great
pride and with great honor, to have played and competed against him"
Isaiah Thomas
"I've never seen passion like that from an athlete" Marv Albert
"No question Michael is head and shoulders above everybody else" Magic
Johnson
"I'm not Michael Jordan there will never be another Michael Jordan, he
is the greatest player of all time, and nobody can fill his shoes.
Period" Kobe Bryant
"He is the greatest player to ever play the game, and i grew up
idolizing Michael Jordan" Lebron James
"I tell people that they are two great, great players, and Michael remains the best of all time, but Kobe now is right there next to him. He's standing right next to him. He's the closest thing we've ever had to Jordan. There is no one else even in the ballpark,'' Harper told FanHouse Tuesday from his home in New Jersey. "Kobe is hands down the best player in the game today.''
"Michael still gets the edge because of when he played, and who he played against, but don't take anything away from Kobe,'' Harper said. "Michael played when the rules allowed all the grabbing, holding and bumping that isn't allowed now on the perimeter. He also played against [Clyde] Drexler, [Joe] Dumars and guys like that every night. But after saying that, Kobe still would have been a star in that time.'' Ron Harper 2010.
More to come.....
