Natural hair journey: The journey began in 2007. I got tired of watching my relaxed hair break off and observed a classy classmate with natural tresses.

Big Chop: March 23, 2009

Transition: I pressed and flat iron my hair. I also regularly trimmed my ends. You know that this is not the healthiest way to transition. My classmate taught me how to do a twist-out in mid 08. I discovered natural hair tutorials on youtube in early March 09 and grew more confident with natural styles. I was ready to accept and love my curly coils so I did my own big chop in March.
