This is a shout out, a love-letter, a poison pill to that peculiar American brand of overconfident, self-assurred, self-loving, 'my way or the highway', black vs. white, good vs. evil, righteously indignant, 2nd Amendment-waving ideologues. The half-wits who slaver over the cretinous ramblings of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, etc. They (you?) are Teabaggers, Secessionists, Creationists, Birthers, Deathers, Palin-lovers, Gay-haters. An usurprisingly non-diverse group of wingnuts, imbeciles, nutbags, and bigots - all marching under the banner of fear-based misinformation and delusional 'patriotism'. They consider themselves the 'real' Americans. They misquote the Constitution. They misconstrue historical terms such as liberalism, socialism, Marxism, and communism with breathtaking ease. They willfully deconstruct reality and substitute a narrative based on their own stunted agenda. They stick their fingers in their eyes and close their eyes and start screaming about Death Panels, Acorn, and Hitler. They are imbeciles for the new millennium. They are The Rebels of the Wingnut Revolution!

And though the U.S. media seems intent on allowing Wingnut America to express abyssal stupidity and outright lies (liberal media bias - uh, okay), the demographic facts-on-the-ground show that their strain of insanity is drying up. But being the true warriors they are, they're ready to fight to the end. God bless them! Meanwhile, sentient beings will sit back and watch in side-splitting disbelief as the Rebels of the Wingnut Revolution prepare their circular firing squad.
