3) The cited stats only include "debt held by the public" which means they're not counting the debt owed to our various trust funds (SS etc). BTW, if you follow the very first link in that article you'll find that it actually supports my view. For example, according to it the interest on the debt will triple over the next decade.

It really depends on the attitudes where you live and whether the asker has the power to make trouble if they don't like the answer. In any event, the correct answer around here to the question of "are you carrying a gun" is "Of course, aren't you?". The answer to "Can I see it?" Should probably be an invitation to go shooting. That said, the last time I was actually asked it turned into a giant show and tell session between myself, the owner of the business, and an employee.

I completely understand not wanting to put your family through the consequences of breaking the law and frankly you'd be nuts to announce your intent to do so on YouTube even if that is what you had planned. That said, you have to realize that for those of us in freer states, you folks in the NE tend to come off as pretty desensitized to just how authoritarian your system is.
