The World Champion, Danny Jackpot seems to be making a lot of enemies here on Smackdown, especially the new comers, causing chaos. Last week on Smackdown, Danny Jackpot claimed himself as the best Champion of All-Time, much to Kurt Angle's disgust. Kurt Angle responded by giving Jackpot a belly to belly suplex which sent the Champion running. Angle then proceeded to demand a title match against Jackpot, in which Jackpot declined telling Angle he doesn't owe him anything. In the main event last week, once Orton, Mysterio, and Shawn Michaels prevailed over CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, and Sheamus, The World Champion attacked the winners with a steel chair! The question is why? Is The World Champion more arrogant than ever? Will he regret his choices? Tonight, the Champ explains his actions.
Last week on Smackdown, the Show off of WEDF Dolph Ziggler approached the Rock backstage, telling the Great One that Smackdown is his show now, and that the Rock needs to retire. Rock responded in a way that many can assume that this may lead into a match between the two, as the Rock told Ziggler off. Tonight though, Ziggler and Rock will both be in singles matches, as Ziggler will take on the returning Hurricane, meanwhile, The Rock will take on an old familiar foe in CM Punk, who has been red hot since RassleMania, beating the likes of Hulk Hogan, and Triple H, as well as taking Stone Cold to the limit. Will Punk continue the momentum and win the rubber match between the two or will the Rock look to end his losing streak?
Speaking of Punk, Edge, wasn't really too fond of the new comers actions, especially those actions against The Immortal Hulk Hogan at RassleMania 2 calling out the outspoken CM Punk. This resulted in a huge brawl between the old school Edge, and the new school Punk backstage, which had to be broken up by security. Will Edge look to continue his pursuit of showing Punk a little bit of respect of the old timers, who paved the way for many superstars, including Punk?
Smokey made his return to Smackdown, beating Jack Swagger in singles action, as many superstars were brought over to Smackdown via the supplemental draft from ECCW. After Smokey's huge win, a strange music played as many in the audience, including Smokey weren't sure to make about it. Tonight, Smokey will be here to send a message!
The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels, who was on the end of that attack from Jackpot will be in action tonight, against Zack Ryder, who's coming off a loss to the number one contender to the Television Championship, Chavo Guerrero. Zack Ryder, who won the superstar to look out for, on the Slammys is looking to seek a big victory. Will that win happen tonight over the legendary Shawn Michaels, who ironically enough was on the receiving end of losing to last year's Superstar to look out for, John Morrison last year? Or can Shawn Michaels claw through the hungry Zack Ryder, continuing his pursuit of once again having one last run as World Champion?
Lastly, a match was confirmed last week on Smackdown, as Tyson Kidd challenged Evan Bourne to a match here on Smackdown, as Kidd said if he were in Bourne's spot, Oshujax would not be Champion still. Will Tyson Kidd, who's coming off a huge victory over Chris Masters on United look to back up his statement or will Evan Bourne shut the Canadian up? Will the Intercontinental Champion look to intervene as well?
The Card:
Singles Match: The Hurricane vs Dolph Ziggler
Singles Match: CM Punk vs The Rock
Singles Match: Zack Ryder vs Shawn Michaels
Singles Match: Evan Bourne vs Tyson Kidd
