Somos Collective

Somos Collective is an eclectic project that bridges cultures, languages and musical styles. It was born from the musical cooperation between Miguel and William Benavides and Cary Aileen Garcia, who after playing several jam sessions and concerts together, decided to take their fun to higher steps. Somos Collective is determined to always keep progressing, experimenting and changing as long as they feel satisfied and challenged by their music. On a conceptual level, the Collective aims to forge a sound that translates into energetic, vibrant new sonorities, an artful blend of traditional rhythms from several South American and Caribbean countries with elegant, jazz-inflected pop and funk.
