About this user
"It's not about fame, glory, or money. It's about getting that message out..." Gonzo Rincon- Vocalist, Co-SongwriterThat message, musicality and passion are exactly what sets SOMETIME AFTER apart from the current crop of auto tuned, flavor of the moment bands. A powerful blend of Indie and Progressive Rock, it's clear from the first note to the last drum beat that these guys are here to stay and they are playing for keeps.
Often described as organic, authentic, original and fearless; their debut full length album, "IN THE MIDST OF YOU" is co-produced and co-written with Drummer David Bowen (Cody Canada and the Departed) and tackles social and everyday inner issues in a way that is strictly and uniquely their own.
SOMETIME AFTER began in 2007 in Dallas, Texas as an acoustical duo and soon captured the hearts, attention and loyalty of music enthusiasts wherever they played. Responding to the demands of it's ever growing fan base, the group expanded into a full band and changed it's direction in order to reach a wider audience.
Guitarist Alex Rincon is fresh, passionate and innovative. Gonzo Rincon leads with his power vocals and lyric songwriting that's second to none. Bassist Paul Woolsey's sound is dynamic and melodic. Combined with the rhythmic and pocket syncopations of drummer Andy Weaver. SOMETIME AFTER gives a high energy, live musical experience that engages listeners and leaves them coming back for more.
Managed by music veteran Troy Woody and on the Adonai Records roster, SOMETIME AFTER has recently started a National Radio Campaign to target the major Top 40 markets with their songs and message. Currently, they are spinning in over 15 radio markets including Chicago, Dallas and LA.
SOMETIME AFTER have also embraced the cause of Human Trafficking. Their first single and video "Innocence Lost" from the "IN THE MIDST OF YOU" album is about that very subject. The national radio release of "Innocence Lost" sends a powerful and unforgettable message about the issue of human trafficking and sexual abuse. As a result of the response to the song and video, "Sometime After" has been asked to release a Spanish version of both.
"IN THE MIDST OF YOU," contains 12 songs. Ten are the main album tracks and two are intimate acoustical bonus tracks that will give the listener that little something extra.
SOMETIME AFTER is set to begin it's US tour in the late FALL of 2011.
