A joyful, original Latin music ensemble, Sol y Canto is steeped in meaningful music that expresses hope for a better world. The heart and soul of this ensemble are Puerto Rican/Argentine vocalist Rosi Amador's crystalline voice and New Mexican husband Brian's sumptuous Spanish guitar and original compositions. Accompanied by musicians from Uruguay, Peru, Panama, and the U.S., rich vocal harmonies and churning Latin rhythms create a passionate, poetic performance. Sol y Canto is a three time winner of the Boston Music Award and won a "Best of Boston" in Latin Rhythms from Boston Magazine. Composer/ Guitarist Brian Amador is a MacDowell Artist Colony 2009 Fellow.
