About this user

SOLE SISTERS will be a feature length documentary film with a global outreach component. My mission is to empower women and girls through shared storytelling about their life experiences told through their relationships with their shoes. This multifaceted project will include a film, interactive installation and social media. It will act as a tool of empowerment, social change and mentorship for educational institutions and non-profit partners.

Prior to creating the film, we are embarking on a new and experimental approach to filmmaking. We are collaborating with social service agencies, educational institutions and community organizations initially before any production takes place. We have collected stories from women through art and writing workshops.

The stories go far beyond the functionality of shoes. The stories are about women's identity. They are strong, fresh, deep and fun and connect women from all walks of life.
