In 2008 · Q2 the company introduced Astucia Intelligent Road Studs™ to Canada and United States. Intelligent Road Studs contain one to fourteen ultra-bright LEDs for use in both Active Road Marking and Dynamic Road Marking applications.

With over 150 installations worldwide, this important new technology has been proven effective in significantly reducing night time collisions and saving lives.

Conventional passive retro-reflectors are visible from just 90 metres · 300 feet under ideal conditions, leaving the motorist with only 3 seconds to respond to changes in the geometry and direction of the road ahead.

Intelligent Road Studs are visible at a distance of up to 900 metres · 0.56 miles.

Active Road Marking and Dynamic Road Marking technology from Astucia provides the motorist with up to 30 seconds to respond to changing road conditions.
