Footage from the 70's shows really is needed! There was a 15 minute clip from 1970 posted here 3 or 4 years back but i believe it was removed for petty copyright reasons. Basil was on top form - lightning-quick retorts, witty interruptions and that classic nuzzling-up to Mr Derek. I'd love to see...

The tree-planter himself can be heard cracking up with laughter at the end despite being apparently unaware of the absurdity of the situation up ...

This features on the Earcom-3 7" EP. No wonder it's still not collectable. Actually we love this.

2 endings to this video. One where the maid gets the pie and another where the butler (seen at 0.38) gets it. I wonder if the director was unhappy with the accuracy of that final pie.

You can find this on Now That's What I Call Music 12! Elton was all over the shop at the time but still a great song, legend that he is.

Great stuff. I have a copy of this EP. Was about to sell it as it's rare - but then span it once more for old times' sake and - well i'll probably keep it for all time now.

Some production similarities here with Kon Kan's 'I Beg Your Pardon?' a couple of years earlier. Both were played to death on my turntable.
