About Me:

Hi! I am Snowy Tan, ten years old, adopted "hand-reared son" of Nancy.I climbed up her arm the moment my brother brought Mom to see me at the Pet-shop, Sydney! Every morning, when I was 3 mths.old, I perched on Mum's comforting shoulder as she chanted,"The Lotus Sutra," in Japanese,"Nam-myo-ho-Renge-kyo!" with the speed of a Tornador! With sleepy eyes n head, I nodded and rocked to and fro, barely awake!
By the time I was fully awake, Mum had left me on the high perch(no cage was she policy at first) and gone to do her Bistro Food business by herself, and teaching Cookery Classes a few nights as well during the week. She was a "Celebrity"Food Demonstrator for various Food Companies for a while.Such a hectic life she had, with two sons to cook meals and caring me with utmost love! It is no wonder I love her so dearly!

I took me at least 8 months to finally surprised her with my first,"Hello!"

House rental kept on going up and fear of Climatic changes made us move up to Blue Mountains, as job-prospects, were scarce then for my young brothers! Then we moved down again due to unforseen circumstances, living isolated lives up in the country-side! Mum was a bit worried about driving her old empty "light" van on extremely steep slope to get home in icy Winters, which she was not used to! We all love the sunny Weather down in the city and busy atmosphere!
Mum loves meditating, shopping and keeping house, cooking, washing, and going for circle-drumming with her huge Jembe' only once a week on one of her days "off" from work! None of my family had any social-life then as our country-home was peaceful, but very isolated from society! It seemed to be just travelling to work and sleep only! What a Life! However, Mum came straight to greet me and let me out and to exercise on a long rope which I loved swinging to and fro from and looked so pleased, and walked about her kitchen floor.
Then we finally moved down the Mountains to Sydney again and we lost contact with old friends and had to start again, but too busy again for anything,Mum doing a self-employed business and learning new skills and then her frequent visits to temple. Mum taught me the best lesson in my bird-life, to appreciate the simple things daily, and living in a small cosy home than living in a large house with an empty shell! I had accidently flown away from fright of the start of neighbour's lawn-mower, and lost in the Mountian wilderness for two days and cried to be home! Again in our new home three years ago, when I was at our balcony, I experimentally flew over the roof, from Mum's shoulder! Hey! This time, I had learnt to fly and dived down straight to Mum when my Brother and Mum finally found me, on top of the highest Pine tree again!!!
I rather stay in my litlle shelter now and "Mum-watch,"or dance for her when she sings and drums, or listen to her mantras and bajans or the radio when I am by myself at home!

Please e-mail me of your expectations of me as a little big bird, and I am sure my loving Mum will ask God to teach her to teach me what to do next, for youtube! I try to keep her amused, sometimes, Ha! Ha!

Best wishes and birdie pecks!

We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.-- Anais Nin

May you always feel guided and connected, my friend.

There are moments in life, when the heart is so full of emotion
That if by chance it be shaken, or into its depths like a pebble
Drops some careless word, it overflows, and its secret,
Spilt on the ground like water, can never be gathered together
-- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Peace and blessings, snowythecorella,
