Hello :)

I'm Ashleigh Louise Alice, from the Wirral (just over the water from Liverpool). I promote various events in Liverpool, along with the occasional hairdressing session. When I'm not out at club nights and gigs, I spend my time seeking out and watching the latest entertainment, discovering new music, playing games on my PC/PS3... and doing geeky things on my computer.

I've grown up so much in the past few years; and really, I've come a long way with my self confidence, but I've still got a long road ahead of me. If you know me, you'll know that I'm very guarded, and don't really display my emotions much, or talk much online. I realise this can come across as unsociable, but please believe me when I say it's nothing personal, I just like my space. I actually don't agree with bitchiness...to me it's low, childish, nasty and doesn't get anyone anywhere.

I've got a strong sense of humour, and I'm very sarcastic. You'll either "get me" entirely, or just won't "get me" at all. I enjoy a good debate, and I love being right (I realise this isn't the best trait to have, but at least I'm honest about it.) I'm also an extremely curious person - I'm always asking questions, researching, and learning. I can be quite a sharing person too; on occasion I'll go out of my way to show someone something I think they'd like.

Visually, one of the first things people tend to notice about me is that I change my hair colour a lot. I've been dying it all sorts of colours since my first year at high school... and it's mainly because the idea of being plain is really unattractive to me; but also because I love the idea of being able to customise the way I look. In addition to my unconventional hair-styles, I have a few piercings - but no tattoos (yet). People also feel the need comment on the fact I'm lacking somewhat in the height department, as I'm standing tall at 5'0"...

More About My Interests

A fascination of mine at the moment is films; I've watched just over 900. My favourite kinds are Dark Comedy, Comedy, Fantasy, Animation and Stand-Up Comedy; often with Romance, Quirky, Sci-Fi and/or Coming of Age elements. I also spend a large portion of my time watching TV programmes - old and new. My ultimate favourites are British comedies 'Peep Show' and 'I'm Alan Partridge', but I can't say I'm not partial to a few American sitcoms. I also have a soft-spot for stand-up comedy; if you've not seen 'Eddie Murphy: Raw', I feel sad for you.

It's a cliché, but I really love music. My favourite genre of all time has to be Indie/Alt. Rock; although Pop Punk and Hip Hop also hold a special place in my heart. My favourite band of all time are Brand New, and my favourite song of all time is The Coral's Dreaming of You. Ever since I got a PC, I've been amazed at how easy it is to share and find artists. I used to be quite fond of sharing mix CDs when I was younger, but now that they're dying a death I've gotten into creating playlists. Another aforementioned interest of mine is technology and gaming. I grew up glued to the SNES, Gameboys and PlayStations, and spent a fair amount of my childhood attending computer fairs and learning their anatomy. My favourite genres of games are Adventure, Platform and JRPG, and my favourite game of all time is The Curse of Monkey Island (Monkey Island 3) because it's one of the few games I've come across that has incorporated comedy AND done it well, the whole series is brilliant in my opinion. I now own my very own PS3, so if you have one too, add me - alwaysdestroy :)
