The Wisdom Of Little James
A young man, that had just started teaching school explained to his class of small children that he was an atheist. He asked the class if they were atheists too. Not really knowing what atheism meant, but wanting to be like their teacher, every hand begin to rise, except for a small little boy named James.
The teacher asks him why he did not raise his hand like the other children. He replied."because I'm not an atheist."
The teacher asked him, "then what are you?"
He replied, "I'm a Christian." The teacher, a little annoyed asked, "why are you a Christian?"
He then replied, "well, I was brought up knowing and loving Jesus. My Mom is a Christian, and my dad is a Christian, so I am a Christian."
The teacher becomes very angry and says very loudly, "that is no reason to be a Christian! What if your Mom was a fool, and your dad was a fool? What would you be then?"
He smiles and yells out, "then I would be an atheist!"
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.
