I actually liked it when he played trad, because it's so difficult to get around everything in trad, but he's still a great drummer.

I have the sheet music for this! It's so much easier actually being able to follow all of the time signatures! I have it from Dream Theater: Full Score Anthology! I'm typing up the individual drum part and when finished will be able to hopefully pdf it and e-mail it to anyone who asks:D

I think that when it comes to solos, Portnoy is better, hands down, but when you get to the technical aspect of drumming, Mangini takes the crown. But they are both amazing drummers, so I don't really think one is strictly better than the other. Both are inspirations to drummers like myself:)

We know he edits these videos. Unless there's a thing that says, Continuously shot clip, then it's gonna be edited, and not all edits can be made perfect sure. Illusionists, especially televised ones, will use the advantage of stopping and starting the shot to make it look even more impossible,...
