I was considering about a vintage razor but I wonder if I find the all the specifications about 5/8, ground, price, shave ready etc. I'll try a look again on ebay these days. When I finish my endless homeworks!!

Thanks for your help snippy, I really appreciate it. I think that the half-hollow is the best choice for me. I think of a Dovo because they are on my budget range. I will tell you how it goes for me in a few weeks. I look forward to improve my German too, I just started last monday and really liked the class. I study german (studied japanese 3 years before) and because "Ich bin Übersetzung (sprache) student". I can't say much so I always have my Wörterbucher in my hand! I'm attracted to the German culture too.

Guten tag, wieder, Snippy.
If I can, I'll get my first straight razor and a strop soon. I was wondering if you can help me choose either full hollow or half hollow, because you are experienced in this. I have read that half hollow is more forgiving, so I guess I should get a dovo best quality 5/8 half hollow. But, I was wondering if such hollow would be ok to my beard, I don't have a thick beard, light neither, it's rather thin and not too dense. Do you think that the half hollow would be ok for my beard considering that I'm a beginner also?

What kind of straight razor do you use in your video by the way?

Hello. I liked your video on shaving the traditional way with a straight razor. I also shave the traditional way but using a safety razor, the Merkur HD. I want to shave with a straight in the near future.
I saw you are from Germany, I study languages and will start German in February in the university. I hope I can talk in german to you in a few months.
