Good glass either keeps or increases it`s value, whereas my d3x will depreciate rapidly as technology advances.
Here`s a tip: some zeiss lenses, such as the 35/1,4, are better than the equivalent nikon/canon. And if you want to seperate your subject from the background, don`t buy zoom lenses
