I had that exact same problem on my DV9000. I tried to update to the latest bios with power plugged in & it shut off right in the middle of the update & did not come back on, so 10 minutes later I hit power & all it does now is show light on the power button & I can hear the fan running...then 10...

That's just what's about to happen to the cops over here in America too!
