@imstillworkin I would keep the little potatoes attached to the old potato as they are feeding off of it.. @Ejahi I have canned for years and year and I have never used a rack in the bottom of my waterbath canners and never had a jar break, in a pressure canner yes, because the heat is much greater. You should be just fine not using a rack. Blessings!
