@Cashback13 Not if the stuff was made of some soft foamy type material, that gives under pressure to create the mould, but isn't sticky and thus wouldn't leave marks on the statue. Kinda like a memory foam material I guess.

@duckgeezer I agree it's an odd way to go about it, but surely the lottery is very hard to fix, plus they might not play the lottery. Hiding treasure that they're going to find is much easier than that, although a random inheritance from long-lost relative might have been easier/more plausible.

@fleamarket3000 surely the doors were unlocked when Duncan left, then Claire locked all the doors when she left. That would make more sense

@snapefanno1 when they found the wife alive and realised the set-up. Maybe they just thought that overall justice had been paid, as the girls had murdered the brother at the start. Dunno about that bit.

@DomWeasel HCN is a pretty lethal gas actually, although maybe it didn't kill him instantly just made him collapse from inhaling it and then he died within a few minutes after that.
