I fell in love with Gieseking's interpretation of Debussy when I was 14 years listening to it on an LP album I rented from the library. I'm 44 years old now listening to it digitally and I'll say that my love for this has not wavered...

They cut out the laughter after the big reveal to put in another commercial...has to be.

I'm not a disco fan either (I was 9 yrs. old when this came out) but it just proves somehow that you can't really do a good song badly.

Every time I listen to this piece, I keep thinking that Gene Kelly or Fred Astaire could have done an old soft shoe number to parts of this..

One of the things that makes this such a great performance is that you know the two of them are having such a great time up there on stage. you can see it in the performance and you can hear it in the audience reaction.

It's still amazing to me how well written these cartoons were. They can tell a complete story in less than 8 minutes where most of the crap they show today couldn't do it in 5 seasons.

I love it how the penguin cries little ice cubes when they're at the South Pole. It's little details like that that make this so hysterically funny.

Actually, I didn't realize that Jean Stapleton actually can play the piano. Then again, it shouldn't surprise me since she really is an incredibly talented actress and, contrary to popular belief, in real life she is a very good singer.
