@TheBernie2201 Bernie, how can you call this noise. The best big band soloists are featured in this flagwaver. Tex Beneke, Al Klink, Ernie Caceres, Glenn Miller, and of course Mo Purtill on drums. Every swing band had charts like this that were visuals as well. This is artistry, Bernie. You ...

This is a travesty! Has the classroom really come to this? The teacher commands no respect dressed like he's been sleeping in a subway. The students should not be allowed to sleep in the classroom like the one in the foreground. No wonder our education system is so far behind that of other co...

Why would you play the clarinet solo on soprano. Barney Bigard's sound and solo are integral parts of this arrangement. Soprano sax is completely out of place in this vintage of Ellingtonia!

A real sleeper in the Glenn Miller library. It doesn't get better than this. Willie Schwartz and his saxes are so very tight! Mo Purtill runs a great rhythm section! The solos are top notch! My thanks to bingcrosby1903 for giving me a new favorite Miller chart!

That's not the Kenton band I know and love, They murdered that classic chart. The bone solo was sloppy, the intonation in the reed section sucked, the trumpets had no fire, and the coda with the bones should never been overshadowed by the saxes. I'll take the original 78 or the "Road Show" ver...

I that guitarist using a Capo on the first fret? The tune is in F, so he capoed it to make it easier to play. I have never seen a real pro do that!!
