Good but it wasn't anything special.. All these solos seem like it's just "throw in as many complicated things as I know into a 4 minute time slot". I'm not saying I'm the freaking god of drumming, but if someone is a finalist in "the biggest drum competition" then they best incredible.

I think if he's looking to get into pop or rock then his style fits fine. But he's right to say he wouldn't fit in with folk (as well as jazz I'm assuming..). Sure has a nice kit..

I think for someone who's been drumming for 8 years, (6 years in this video), you're doing a wonderful job Cobus. May I suggest some jazz though, or perhaps a little drumming outside of the 4/4 time signature? I'm sure you've dabbled in such things, but it would be nice to see it on video. I thin...
