I've tried making fruit canes with a variety of techniques. Everything goes fine until I 'stretch' or reduce the cane and the resulting slices are very distorted. I think it may be because the translucent polymer clay I'm using is way too sticky. Unfortunately I only have Sculpey III translucent...

This tutorial was v helpful since I learned that I need to mix the putty better (i.e. no lines, smoother) before I place the item to be molded into it, to use more of the putty when making a mold and not to push the mold item in to deeply & not to 'mess' with the mold once it's setting. Tx beca...
