About this user
Current obsessions - Philip and Melanie on Days, Bonnie and Damon on Vampire Diaries, and rewatching Ben and Felicity on my Felicity DVDs
Dawson's Creek - a love letter to the English language - the writers on this show really loved to play with words and turn a beautiful phrase. Pacey Witter - everything a leading man should be. Pacey and Joey gave "true love" a face on television. There are moments that I will never forget...."ask me to stay", "watching her sleep", "Pacey spitting in his teacher's face", "I remember everything"
Roswell - The first show I ever did a campaign for - it was a nice mix of teen angst and sci-fi. Geography is not what makes us alien. I want "candy" - Michael and Maria were the normal in this supernatural show.
My So Called Life - they got it right and were canceled for that perfection. The good ones always go first.
90210 - the original - everyone knew never to call me on Wednesday at 8pm. I watched that show faithfully, even when I wasn't loving it. It was a decade long habit, frankly one I hated to break.
Instant Star - Alexz Johnson has a beautiful voice...how come I don't hear her everywhere, instead of the newest "idol"?
Buffy - I have had a "thing for vampires" since I read Bram Stoker's Dracula in the 6th grade. Buffy (and Angel) explored the realm of the vampire world in such a unique and rich way. It sucked you into this world and never let go until...well frankly it has never let me go. I still love the Buffyverse as much as ever. What Scoobie would I like to have coffee with? Xander. What vampire would I willingly bare my neck for? Spike, Spike, and Spike once more.
Angel - would have not even made my list if not for Cordelia, Lindsey and Lorne. For me, it was the support staff that made the show. And Cordelia deserves a medal, for breaking through all that brooding and getting Angel to truly LIVE.
General Hospital...I have watched this show since the first grade. I am pretty sure it has had a hand in shaping my entire existence. All my views about love and romance formed with this show. There are so many stories, so many characters and if you were ever to sit and talk to me about it, I could remember them all. That is how much this show means to me.
The X-Files - This show moves me the same way that Buffy does. It takes you and envelopes you with a mythology so rich you swear it is real. Maybe it is real....I mean..I want to believe.
Lost, Gossip Girl, Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes, Blood Ties - Hurley, Sawyer (in his glasses of course), Chuck Bass, DCI Gene Hunt, Henry - sometimes it is the characters that move us the most.
80s Teen Movies - how I like to unwind - a fruity cocktail and a John Hughes flick
Old Hollywood Films - like the over the top drama of Gone With the Wind, and the fast talking of Double Indemnity - I have seen many and I like many.
Daniel and Chelsea - a storyline that touched me so much I was moved to create, participate, spread the word... The actors made the ordinary leap off the screen. It was fleeting, like all good things are, but I am forever altered by the experience.
