The Slingshot Community Enterprise and Employment Centre (SCEEC) is a youth specific centre Youth Resource Centre: information on what to do, where to go in connection with employment, self-employment, training and homelessness services. We host and develop life-skills projects eg Wheels Program where young people can gain their licence while also gaining skills for employment. We are also re-shaping our mentoring programs to support life skills / pre-employment programs. Programs under development! IT access and resources focused on employment education and training including self-employment opportunities. Social enterprise development: Print Side Up, supported by DVCP, is a Silkscreen Enterprise being developed by young people for young people: printing T-shirt and posters to build community, create employment and a sustainable business model. To be provided by in-house demonstration businesses: we are looking for incubator tenants who have a CSR plan to assist young people by providing employment/ work experience. For more info:
