that is a later than 1955 engine (or head)...... the valve cover on a 55
has the bolts in the center at the top of the cover holding it down
sweet engine ! most everybody chucks those motors & installs a v-8

i have 3 boys 15 / 19 / 24 ..... they did worse stuff than that
