Steadicam Merlin camera stabilizer test with Sony HVR-A1 HDV Camcorder sladewalters - 235 views - 1 month ago
This is my first attempt at using the Steadicam Merlin after balancing it with my camera setup. It actually works pretty good, but is very hard to properly control without some practice.

Ikebukuro Tokyo Japan Sunshine 60 Building - Aquarium and Observation Deck sladewalters - 103 views - 1 month ago
Video I shot at the Sunshine 60 Building in Ikebukuro Tokyo. Sunshine 60 is a 60 story building that was the tallest building in East Asia when it was completed. It is near Sunshine City, a large shopping and recreation area in the Ikebukuro section of Tokyo, Japan. There is an aquarium and observation deck with a great view of Tokyo. You really get a sense of how massive the city of Tokyo actually is.

Cooking how to: Deboning and stuffing a turkey or other fowl-like creature like a chicken or a duck sladewalters - 279 views - 4 months ago
NOTE: The total cook time for this 14 pound (before deboning) turkey was just over 90 minutes at 400°F, which is about 1/2 the time it would take with the bones.

Here's the story: I have a really small oven and wanted to find a way to have my Thanksgiving dinner with a regular full-size turkey. I figured that since the bones took up so much space and added so little in the way of edible parts that I could remove the bones without sacrificing taste. I did some research and figured out how to remove the bones which allowed me to get the bird to fit in my oven.

When Christmas rolled around, I thought I would try it again and film it for all of you lovely folks to see. If you like this kind of cooking how to, let me know. I might share more of the weird cooking stuff I do.

Lego animated intro to "Web Clips" segment sladewalters - 68 views - 4 months ago
Zick and I worked on this intro for our cable access show. Zick is in the Army. We thought it would be funny to include his short, but very scary Sgt. Major in this intro.

I'm a PC, I'm a Hacker - Mac, PC spot spoof. Lame public service announcement sladewalters - 439 views - 4 months ago
This is a lame, cable-access public service announcement that I cut together for a TV show I used to work on. The audio is horrible and the acting is worse. I love the german accent - it isn't fake - we had "limited" casting options. I suggested that we needed the nerdiest person we could find to play the hacker. I got volunteered.

A trip to the Grand Canyon in a car with young kids = BIG FUN! sladewalters - 76 views - 4 months ago
This is just a short, rough video depicting the insanity that occurs when traveling by car with young kids. This is a trip we took to the Grand Canyon.

Flying over Las Vegas in a Cessna 172 sladewalters - 69 views - 4 months ago
This is some rough footage I got while flying in a Cessna 172 single-engine airplane near Las Vegas, Nevada. I think we were at or just above 10,000 feet and not far from Mount Charleston.
