Hi. Ive been watching the sky ever since I was a youngling. Ive seen some wierd stuff. Ufos? perhaps, one or two of them but most are everyday objects that dwell in our skies. Planes, birds, balloons, satellites, planets, floating lanterns, plastic bags, the list goes on. I also found that most UFO footage on Youtube is either fake or mistaken identity due to a huge list of variables, such as poor light, low resolution cameras, unsteady hand, and most commonly, the person filming simply do not know what they are looking at.
My advice is first and foremost, use your eyes or binoculars these 2 simple steps will solve 99% of UFO sightings. Hundreds of times Ive had to say Dam, its just a plane!
Dont use a camera phone that films in VGA quality. The resolution is to low to pick out any detail especially if its a bright light against a dark background.

Ever since I can remember I have been fascinated with the sky and everything in it. Birds, Planes, Clouds and storms, Stars, Satellites, Comets and meteors. The list goes on. For about 5 years Ive been carrying around with me no less then 2 video cameras and will film anything I see in the sky.Over that time I have filmed some very odd things that, on closer inspection turn out to be quite mundane objects.
Looking at much of this 'UFO' footage on the net I have noticed that most of it is either fake or a common object such as a aeroplane or a small balloon caught on a thermals mistaken for UFOs. Therefore I feel its my duty to separate the good footage from the bad. Its not what they 'say' they see. Its what they film. That's the key
Im a firm believer in Ufos and before i get started i just wanna say than Im not doubting peoples testimonies. If they say they saw something, who am I do disbelieve them. What I will say is 99% of ufo footage can be easily explained if examined closely. The real fact is most people simply don't know what they are looking at.
I have noticed on Youtube that many, if not most comments are from people who have obviously never used a video camera. Video cameras are crap at processing bright lights, sharp contrast and darkness. What looks normal to your eyes may well look very different on film. There are so many variables that people simply ignore when filming thier UFO that could make normal objects such as planes and bugs, birds appear unusual. Filming with a cheap video camera (less then £1000) makes it worse.
