About Me:
Davies Valu Taupau (DJ SHOTGUNN) was born in NEW ZEALAND/Otara & was raised in AUSTRALIA/Melbourne by a musical polynesian family. Davies grew up with Old School Island jams and was heavily influenced by his TONGAN/SAMOAN & FIJIAN buddys and uncles. Later on in his HIGH SCHOOL years, his friendz got him into Hiphop & R'n'B. His love for music sparked up a whole new world of ideas for the polynesian society. Davies started dj'ing @ age 15 as DJ SKRATCH who later became DJ SHOTGUNN in 2006. In 2007, HIGH-MATAI entertainment gave this talented DJ his first break. He was very successful with the release of The Reklashbles vol. 1 album in 2007. Served a mission in South America (Uruguay, Brazil) for 2 years. DJ SHOTGUNN was silent for a period of time while serving the lord. September 2009 DJ SHOTGUNN returned & went straight to work, and is due to release his second album BAK IN THA GAME 2010!!
