I lived in Mississippi for several years, in the Delta, where I met wonderful people and learned, first hand, about the region's civil rights movement and the Delta Blues. It inspired me to write several books on civil rights history and specifically, on Emmett Till. While I now live in New Mexico, my heart is still in the Delta. Currently working on a new book about the murder of a forgotten civil rights lawyer.
