Matthew 24:36 (NIV) "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."
Matthew 24:42-44 (NIV) "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."
Only God the Father knows the exact "day" and the exact "hour" when Jesus Christ will return to the earth. However, prior to the return of Jesus Christ to the earth, God is showing, "wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below" - Acts 2:19; in order that the "Born Again" Children of God may be fully prepared, and expecting Jesus Christ when that "day" and "hour" does come.
Acts 2:19-21 (NIV) "I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
1 Thessalonians 5:1-4 (NIV) Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.
The Holy Bible says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
The Holy Bible also says, "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
God the Son came from Heaven as a sinless human being in the Person of Jesus Christ born to a virgin Jewish woman named Mary.
The good news is that around two thousand years ago, at the age of thirty-three, Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sins(wrongdoing) by shedding His sinless blood while dying on a cross, and a few days after His body was placed in a tomb, God the Father raised Him from the dead.
The perfect and righteous life of Jesus qualified Him to die in our place and pay the penalty for all of our sins with His sinless blood.
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6).
The Holy Bible says, "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God(The Father) raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).
You should not wait until later to be saved because you may die before you have another chance which will cause you to be separated from the love of God for all eternity in a terrible place called "the lake of fire" (Revelaton 20:15).
Heaven is described as a beautiful place where there will be no more tears, no more pain, no more sorrow, and no more death (Revelation 21:4, 21:10-27).
If you want to be sure that you will go to Heaven when this life is over, then pray the following prayer with your mouth and from your heart.
Dear Jesus Christ, I agree that I am a sinner and that I need to be saved in order to go to Heaven. Thank You for paying the penalty for my sins with Your sinless blood when You died on the cross for me. I confess with my mouth that You are Lord God the Son, and I believe in my heart that God the Father raised You from the dead. I place all my trust in You as my Savior and Lord. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
If you just now accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, then welcome to the family of God because you are now sealed by the Holy Spirit and a Heaven bound child of God (Ephesians 1:13).
The Holy Bible says, "In whom we have redemption through His(Jesus Christ) blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace" (Ephesians 1:7).
