Yes. I understand your point. But my point is what happens when the State and Local Governments are Physically and Financially wiped out? Who then do you turn to for help? If your local government it broke and the state is wiped out, who will step up and rescue you from your roof in a flood? They've already closed many Fire Departments all over my state, Laid off Many "volunteer" coordinators and disbanded Animal Rescue, grounded air rescue, hell, sometimes it takes more than 20 minutes just to talk to 911 operator in our Metropolitan City. What if your little sister was stranded in a tree above flood waters and you weren't there to help?

I'm replying to your comment. Where do I begin... In perfect world, people care for each other. We don't live in a perfect world. The world we live in consists of selfish temptations and we imbibe. Instead of buying that xbox or paying for cable TV, have you donated to a homeless family? Yeah, no. I didn't think so. THAT IS WHY WE NEED GOVERNMENT. It was ORIGINALLY designed to force our selfish asses to be responsible. Unfortunately, humanity is inherently selfish. Had we cared for each other from the beginning, (and not competed) we wouldn't be so screwed now.

You know your stuff. Are you sure you are only 16? I am English so don't know as much on the subject. I am pro abortion , so if he feels that a certain state can choose then ok. Similarly I don't know about his middle east statements but I thought he was the man behind the tea party movement. From what I have seen of them though they look like a nasty bunch (many racist). I think the US (and others) are way too soft on Israel and their land grabs and feel that a Republican in office would hinder any peace progress. Also Ron Paul is surely too old to be President?
