About this user
Over 30 years doing Martial Arts -I practice a rare(outside of China) style of Wing Chun we call " Fo-Shan Style ", not in the Line of Yip Man,or what we call The Hong Kong Style , but rather Sifu Fok Chiu, a Direct Disciple of GMYao Chai/ Yiu Choi . Sifu Fok Chiu is Directly my Sifu . Our " Si-Hing " is " Chow Yu Kuen ". The " Yiu Choi Style."( aka Snake Style )has many traditions-EX., we never call ourselves Sifu as long as our own Sifu is still alive .And they have always been extremely secretive about showing anything publically. Even in the late `90`s one could get into trouble teaching W.Ch.there! Now the Gov`t. has decided that the Classical Kung Fu Arts are a " Nat`l. Treasure " to be preserved &promoted , so Only now is the "Old Gag-Order" beginning to come off. More & more secrets will begin to emerge.
In addition , I learned The Mook Jong from my good friend Sifu Francis Sze-Tu in Taipei . I believe that All Wing Chun people should over-look little differences in Form ,and support and promote the Greater Wing Chun Family. However ,I think that we should be able to politely discuss questions of Theory and technique ( Feel free to comment & disagree ,But No vulgar or insulting Language is allowed ).In fact , we should be able to do that even between different Martial Art Styles . Otherwise , it indicates a lack of Maturity , Earnestness , and Sincerity ! Having said that , I realize that each Artist has his own calling , so to speak - " Different Strokes for Different Folks ." So,....from Studio " Snake in Clouds " in Taiwan ,...
