Durante gli ultimi giorni dell' estate 2009, Simone (ex membro di Dust Fuzz,Desing) e Marialaura formano il primo nucleo del progetto. Girano la Toscana in acustico per tutto il 2010, due voci e due chitarre: palchi, bar, mostre, pub, case, prati, strade e chiese sconsacrate sono solo alcune delle location delle loro esibizioni.

Durante questo periodo scrivono le prime canzoni originali, che vanno a comporre il loro demo d' esordio ''Just a Demo'' 2010, ben recensito da RockIt.
Alla fine dell' estate 2010 realizzano il loro primo video DIY: ''When I end and you start'', che grazie al passaparola macina 4000 visualizzazioni su YouTube.
Il brano del loro secondo video DIY, ''15 years'' viene scelto da Birra Peroni per la colonna sonora dello spot della campagna web ''Peroni: Per Noi''.

Alla fine del 2010 si aggiunge Luca (membro di Maraiton, Medea,Mugatu) al basso e i Verily So diventano una Band.

Con questa formazione compongono e registrano i brani del loro primo album, ''Verily So'', supportati da Inconsapevole Records.

Il sound evolve: elementi folk acustici lasciano il passo ad atmosfere shoegaze e richiami wave, ma la vena intimista e nostalgica delle prime composizioni rimane intatta.

L'album ha un grande successo tra le webzine e le riviste di settore, che lo adottano e lo recensiscono positivamente. Alcuni pezzi finiscono in compilation (Shiver,Penguins love to rock) e diventa disco della settimana su Rockit.

Intanto registrano la cover di "Idioteque" dei Radiohead per il download gratuito sul loro Bandcamp.

Arrivano le prime date (aprono per i Pinback nel loro primo tour europeo) e le prime collaborazioni. Con questo spirito si apprestano a registrare uno split EP per la Stop! Records con i Girless & The Orphan che uscirà nei primi mesi del 2012.
A breve anche la pubblicazione del primo videoclip tratto dall'album della band: "Summer 89".

Una band che suona musica melodica sgangherata col cuore.

During the last days of summer 2009, Simone (former member of Dust Fuzz, Desing) and Marialaura form Verily So. They tour Tuscany, IT with 2 guitars and 2 voices, for all 2010: stages, bars, expositions, houses, gardens, streets and churches are just some of the locations of their shows.

During this period they write the firstoriginal songs that will compose their debut demotape, "Just a Demo" 2010, well reviewed by Rockit, the most popular italian web magazine for independent bands.

In the end of summer 2010 they record their first videoclip DIY:
"When I end and you start"
that reachs 4000 views on YouTube just by fan sharing.
The song of their second video, "15 Years", is chosen by Birra Peroni (the most famous italian beer factory), as soundtrack of their web advertising campaign.

In the end of 2010 Luca (member of Maraiton and Medea) join Simone and Marialaura and Verily So become a band.

They compose and record the 11 songs of their debut album, called "Verily So",
released during spring 2011 and supported by Inconsapevole Records.
Their sound is in evolution: acoustic folk meets shoegaze feedbacks and new wave rythmics, but the melancholic and intimistic vein of their first composition is still intact.

The album is very well reviewed by the biggest web magazines in Italy and have an incredible fan sharing. Some songs are chosen for compilations (Shiver, Penguins love to rock) and it becomes "Album of the week" of Rockit.
During this time, they record their acoustic and delicate version of "Idioteque" by Radiohead, for free downloading on their Bandcamp page.

Soon they play the first gigs (opening for Pinback on their first european tour) and collaborations. With this attitude, they are about to record a split EP with Girless & The Orphan for Stop! Records, that will be released in the first months of 2012.
On January 2012 they will release their first videoclip of the album, "Summer 89"

A band that plays melodic music ramshackled with the heart. Nothing more to add.
