About this user

Music to me is an expression of communication and the passion involved. I get more out of a cat playing a one note solo passionatly that someone ripping through all the scales and mode at breakneck speed. This is why I like the Blues.When someone ask me what to do to learn an instrument I tell them to just play one note over and over until they can hear all the overtones that make up a root note. Only then can they understand the depth of music and what it takes to play. I grew up in an era when live music was much more personal.I remember doing shows with Lightning Hopkins and he would borrow our drummer for the night or when I played with John Lee Hooker for 2 or 3 night when his band broke down in the desert. These are the times and people that I want to honor in song and recollection. At this point in my life I have no desire for fame or fortune only to give you a little piece of me. Some good, some not so good but all from the heart!!!
