Rich Wilson documents his solo, non-stop race around the world in the Vendée Globe. His education program, called Ocean Challenge Live! - Vendee Globe 2008, teaches students of all ages about academics, life skills, and sailing from aboard Great American III, a 60-foot-long sail boat. In this race Rich is racing against 29 other world-class skippers as they sail around the world from west to east. The race begins in France, and the fleet races south in the Atlantic Ocean, rounds Cape of Good Hope (South Africa) and enters the Southern Ocean, passes Cape Leeuwin (Australia), rounds Cape Horn (Chile), enters the Atlantic Ocean again, and sails north until--after sailing for 25,000 miles--they reach the finish line in France.
