"We intend to intervene against the continued illegal whaling activities of the Japanese fleet in the Antarctic Whale Sanctuary," said Captain Paul Watson. "We intend to stop the killing of endangered species of whales in the Sanctuary, whales that are being killed in violation of the global moratorium on whaling. We intend to enforce the orders of the Australian Federal Court that has banned Japanese whalers from killing whales in the waters of the Australian Antarctic Territory.

THIS man has the blood of 10,000 whales on his hands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kazuo Yamamura, chief executive of Kyodo Senpaku Kaisha, heads the private company contracted to manage the Japanese whaling ship Nisshin Maru, its crew, as well as the sale of whale meat into the Japanese market.
A vehement whaling advocate, the businessman once hosted a student seminar titled "Let's eat whale and think about whaling"
More than 100 students were asked to trial various whale dishes - from whale soup to whale bacon - and rate them on their tastiness.
In the convoluted maze of government and fishery agencies and whaling advocacy organisations that allow whaling to continue under the the thinly veiled guise of "scientific research", Mr Yamamura's name appears time and again.
Kyodo Senpaku Kaisha is a private firm contracted by the Institute of Cetacean Research to manage the Japanese whaling ship Nisshin Maru - currently used to slaughter thousands of whales in the Southern Ocean.
Government subsidised, the ICR is permitted to conduct whaling research by the Fisheries Agency of Japan.
Mr Yamamura retains his board position at the ICR - alongside with his position as CEO of the private firm, contracted ICR to conduct whaling under the guise of legal research.
The "RESEARCH" company and private contractor even share the same Tokyo building.
When Nippon Kyodo Hogei was dissolved in 1987 after international bans on commercial whaling came into effect, the firm was reformed under the name Kyodo Senpaku Kaisha.
ICR maintains it is a non-profit organisation, with the sale of research by-products going back into whale research.
But in documents obtained by The Daily Telegraph, Kyodo's balance sheets show profits from the sale of whale have nearly quadrupled in the past 10 years!
